Fleet Driver Theory and Assessments
Any company or organisation, no matter the size, who employs drivers should have in place a consistent controllable vehicle and driver risk programme.
The Health and Safety at Work Act requires an employer to ensure the health and safety, as far as reasonably possible, of all employees whilst at work. This includes work-related journeys and drivers in both company or personal vehicles for business use.
All employers must conduct a risk assessment - ‘H & S at Work Reg. 1999’
Over 5 employees the risk assessment must be recorded
Under 5 employees you have to conduct a risk assessment but you do not have to record it.
Company vehicles are classified as places of work
How we can help?
We offer training for all categories of vehicle.
A Theory Session followed by Driver Assessments and Training is the most popular option.
The Theory Session can be performed with individuals or your entire staff.
The driver assessment will be 1 trainer to 1 or 2 drivers.
Drivers will be initially assessed to identify their driving risks.
A comprehensive de-brief will follow with tailored training to reduce their highlighted key risk areas.
A written report will be produced at the end of the session for the employer.
We also offer:
Ongoing Driver Assessments and training programmes
Induction training for new recruits
Refresher training
Eco driving for fuel efficiency
